Congressional Republicans are working on two tracks:
One is to cut $4.2 trillion in critical services from working families―including healthcare, food assistance, housing, education, and much more.[1]
The other track is to cut taxes for the rich and corporations by making all of the Trump-GOP tax scam permanent. A recent report from the Congressional Budget Office shows that permanently extending expired and expiring tax cuts in the 2017 Trump-GOP tax law would add at least $3.5 trillion to the national debt over the next decade.
Every year, Congressional Republicans feign concern over the national debt. But their real reason for cutting trillions of dollars in critical services is to pay for massive tax cuts for the rich and powerful―whether it was the George W. Bush tax cuts of 2001 and 2003 that squandered surpluses of the Clinton administration, or the Trump tax cuts of 2017 that are already forecast to add $1.7 trillion to our national debt.
We’re fighting back against Republican attempts to hold our economy hostage in order to achieve their ultimate goal of more tax cuts for their wealthy campaign contributors.

Congressional Republicans want to eliminate green energy and climate incentives―$570 billion in cuts.
And they want to roll back President Biden’s student education debt forgiveness plan―$460 billion.
