We’ll be frank, team.

If the GOP takes back the Virginia Senate and maintains control of the House of Delegates in November, the far-right will have full control over our efforts to make progress and safeguard protections for millions of Virginians.

We want to take a moment to talk about just a few of the ways that Republicans will erase our progress if they were to gain control the General Assembly, but before we do, can you chip in $5 or whatever you can right now to give us the resources we need to help Democrats win big in the fall?

Gun violence: Between 2020 and 2021 under a Democratic majority in VA, we passed a flurry of popular laws aimed at preventing gun violence – including a red flag law and expanded background checks. Since then, Virginia Republicans have proposed some of the loosest concealed handgun legislation we’ve ever seen.

Reproductive Rights: When Democrats had control of the General Assembly, they worked to enact the Reproductive Health Protection Act – a law eliminating state interference in abortion care decisions. Now, far-right VA Republicans have declared they’ll do whatever is necessary to block access to abortion care – including banning abortion after just 15 weeks of pregnancy – or worse.

Voting Access: Virginia Democrats have worked to ensure that all citizens have fair access to voting. From allowing Virginians to vote by mail, increasing early voting sites, and allowing same-day registration – Democrats have improved the accessibility of voting across the Commonwealth. Republicans' vision for access to voting includes elimination of ballot drop boxes, slashing the number of early voting sites, and rolling back access to mail-in ballots. Democrats have blocked these attempts so far, but if Republicans win both chambers this fall, they will have full control to make these measures law.

We cannot let the GOP regain control of the Virginia Senate and expand their control in the House of Delegates. Your contribution is the reason Senator Warner is able to travel across the Commonwealth, get out the vote, and spend his time working to elect strong Democrats to the General Assembly. Can you donate today?

This November, we have the opportunity to protect all the progress Democrats have worked so hard for here in Virginia. Let’s step up and make it happen.

Thank you,

Team Warner
