Hi John,

Homelessness is a top concern in the Bay Area, and it’s closely tied to our collective work toward housing and economic justice. It can also be hard to talk about — persistent myths and misperceptions, strong emotions, and lack of clarity on solutions can all be a challenge.

Join Shift the Bay on Thursday, June 8 from 12:30PM-1:30PM PT for a practice-oriented discussion and workshop on The Story We Need to Tell about Homelessness.

What Is Shift the Bay? NPH leads the Shift the Bay initiative, a collaborative effort designed to grow public support for our cause through research-driven, field-practiced strategies, tactics, and messages. Over the course of several years, the initiative has supported the Bay Area’s affordable housing movement with new message guides and tools, new research, and the production of the Seize the Narrative Playbook, which offers concrete guidance on how to advance housing and racial justice, locally and regionally.

This workshop will focus on messaging practice and putting StB’s newest messaging resource— How to Talk about Homelessness Messaging Guide— to work in our communications work about homelessness.

Together, we can make the case that homelessness is a housing problem and that we already know how to solve it.

I can’t wait to get to work with you!

See you then,
