What is the Trot for Trans Lives?
The National Center for Transgender Equality, in partnership with the TRANSContinental Run, is hosting a fun, family friendly event, “Trot for Trans Lives” on May 27th. This event is an in-person and virtual 5k run, walk, or roll to show love and solidarity for trans and intersex people impacted by the record-breaking number of anti-trans legislation introduced this year.
When you register, those funds raised by the event will be donated to organizations fighting for trans rights in Texas and elsewhere. This is an amazing opportunity to support the people who are working so hard for our communities!
If you're not in Texas, you can still register and run, walk, or roll your 5k anywhere in the country. Make sure to tag us on social media and we'll be thrilled to lift up your efforts!
What is the Championing Change panel?
In addition to the run, there will be an in-person and virtual community panel event at 6:30PM CDT/ 7:30PM EST at the Austin Cinemaker Space. Click here to register to attend, whether in-person or virtual! The panel will be hosted by us at NCTE and feature a conversation with leaders and activists about the state of trans rights in Texas.
