The fight over Medicaid isn’t over yet – and now's the time for everyone to rise up.

John — In April, the House of Representatives passed Speaker McCarthy's (R-CA) new debt ceiling bill that attacks federal care programs and threatens to take Medicaid away from people who don't meet bureaucratic work requirements.

If passed, millions of people who rely on Medicaid for their basic life-sustaining needs could lose access to vital care. This includes seniors, children, and people with disabilities who depend on Medicaid to meet their basic needs.

But, the fight over Medicaid is not over yet John – and now's the time for everyone to rise up. Send a letter urging your members of Congress to reject any proposals that limit funding or eligibility for this essential program.

88 million people in the U.S. rely on Medicaid for their health care, including 54 million older adults, children, and people with disabilities. Taking Medicaid away from people by imposing Medicaid work requirements would harm millions of people.

We need more investment in and access to care programs, not cuts – and members of Congress need to hear from you, John, that cuts and changes to Medicaid are unacceptable and should be off the table. Send a letter today — it only takes a few minutes but has a huge impact!
