Hi John, it’s Brian Lemek here, activist and founder of Stop Gun Violence PAC.

Today marks 1 year since the horrific massacre in Uvalde, Texas, where an 18-year-old gunman opened fire on an elementary school using an AR-15.

He took the lives of 19 children and 2 teachers. 21 lives in total, 21 families forever changed.

We can’t allow these senseless tragedies to continue in our communities. We must take action to pass gun safety legislation and ban military-grade assault weapons.

This begins with people like you, John. We are working to build an unstoppable movement and invest $1 million in gun violence prevention champions at all levels of government. Will you join us in pushing for an assault weapons ban?

Tragedies like the one in Uvalde, Texas, are entirely preventable, but we must take the appropriate steps to stop them.

This includes passing life-saving legislation, including an assault weapons ban and universal background checks, that will reduce the number of deaths and injuries caused by firearms.

But we can’t do this alone or wait for the next tragedy to strike.

That’s why I’m asking you to join us in our movement to invest in and elect gun violence prevention champions up and down the ballot. Can I count on your support in our effort to pass an assault weapons ban?
