Dear Jack,

Have you ever wondered, "What does the Mississippi Center for Public Policy do?" or "What in the world is a think tank?" Well, I'm here to tell you.

The Mississippi Center for Public Policy is a non-partisan, non-profit think tank. We are an organization that researches and educates the public about the benefits of individual liberty, low taxes, and light regulation. As an award-winning think-tank, we help turn ideas into powerful policy solutions that make a meaningful difference in our state.
According to research done by ALEC, the American Legislative Exchange Council, Mississippi's economic prospects are now brighter than ever. The policies that the Mississippi Center for Public Policy has successfully advanced are having a direct and positive impact on our state! Mississippi now ranks at 22 out of the 50 states. The Mississippi Center for Public Policy has been the driving force for the changes that are lifting up our state. From campaigning to cut the state income tax to deregulating the labor market to our campaign to combat Critical Race Theory, we are moving the dial!

But we are also focused on the long game. That's why we invest in the next generation of leaders.

Last year, we launched the Mississippi Leadership Academy, a five-part program designed to equip college students, high school seniors, and young professionals with the skills and knowledge necessary to be effective change-agents in our state. Our first year was highly successful, with 15 full-time students coming monthly to hear professionals in the conservative movement speak, every student graduating at the end of the program, and 1/3 of the students were placed into internships and jobs with the professionals they met through the program! We will be promoting our program for the second year soon!
Our Spring Speaker Series brought high profile speakers to Mississippi, and include Riley Gaines, Betsy DeVos, Alex Epstein, and Rafael Mangual, among others! Our speakers have highlighted issues that our state faces, from educational freedom to crime.

We have just recently launched our "Liberty Wins" series, a new audio/visual campaign that highlights good policies in Mississippi and America. Too often the media only points out the negative aspects of our state and our country. In this new series, we want to show how freedom is still winning in America. We will be posting weekly videos, as well as writing op-eds, highlighting free-market policies and individual liberties.
A small organization, the Mississippi Center for Public Policy punches above its weight. Our legal arm, the Mississippi Justice Institute, defends individual liberty, litigating to protect the rights of individuals enshrined in both the Mississippi and the US constitution.
