I’ll never get tired of sending these late-night emails, because once
again, Medicare for All was the biggest and earliest focus of tonight’s
debate. 

For those keeping count at home, that’s 8 debates so far in this cycle,
and 8 times Medicare for All has been front and center. It’s further proof
that the work we’re doing at the doorstep and on the phone lines is
working. But we can’t rest now:

Before I go, I want to quickly highlight what was — in my eyes — the quote
of the night from Bernie Sanders. It perfectly captures the urgency of
this moment, of this fight that we’re in: 

“At the end of the day there’s no way around it, you may wanna nibble
around the edges, but ultimately we need to rally the American people to
tell the drug companies, to tell Wall Street, to tell the insurance
companies, to tell the fossil fuel industry — this country belongs to
all of us — not a handful of special interests.”

I couldn’t have said it better. Bernie understands, as millions of
Americans do, that incremental change isn’t going to solve this crisis.
That we need bold transformational ideas and a massive grassroots movement
in order to defeat the corporate health care special interests and win
Medicare for All.
