John,
Wow, what a
month! We welcomed home more than 2,200 community members returning
home from federal prison thanks to the First Step Act, introduced the
Clean School Bus Act in the U.S. House, and began forging new
partnerships to create more job opportunities in the tech
sector.
Oh yeah – and we raised
$17,888 last month alone, soon to be doubled by a generous
donor, totaling a whopping $35,776! If
you weren't one of the people who donated in July, you can become one
of the first to fund our work in August by giving
today.
Thanks to these generous
contributions in the month of July, we're gearing up to accomplish
even more in the coming months. Here's a sneak peek at what we have in
store:
- Printing and distributing 10,000+
copies of the First Step to Second Chances reentry guide for
our returning community members navigating life after
prison.
- Mobilizing activists on the ground
to transition school bus fleets from diesel to electric at the state
and county levels.
- Finalizing a partnership that will
create opportunities for young adults with dreams of entering the tech
sector.
From the teams at #cut50, Green For
All, #YesWeCode, and the entire Dream Corps family, we thank you for
making this work possible. When we all come together, we can create a
greener, freer, and more equitable world for everyone.
To the change we're making and what
comes next,
Nisha Anand CEO, the Dream Corps
P.S. Want to help us keep up the
momentum? It's
not too late to move these programs forward by making a one-time
donation to the Dream Corps and the #cut50, Green For All, and
#YesWeCode initiatives.
