On the same afternoon that the Reserve Bank hiked interest rates to fight Labour’s wasteful spending, Labour has finally released a “plan” to tackle the cost of living crisis.



They are spending huge amounts of taxpayers’ money sending out a patronising brochure suggesting Kiwis save money by unplugging their appliances and spending less time in the shower.



Kiwis don’t need a lecture. They need a Government that can fix the underlying drivers of the cost of living crisis.



Labour’s mismanagement of our economy and high levels of wasteful spending has delivered New Zealanders the toxic trio of high inflation, rising interest rates and a looming recession.



You are the one paying the price for this economic mismanagement. Today’s interest rate hike alone will cost a family with a $500,000 mortgage an additional $1250 a year.



Kiwis deserve a government with a plan to fix the economy and get New Zealand back on track. National are the only party that can get things back on track <[link removed]>.



We have a plan to fight inflation – we’ll rein in government spending, stop adding costs to business, deliver tax relief to Kiwis struggling with the cost of living, and return the Reserve Bank to having a single focus on inflation.
