John,
Over the weekend, Lt. Gov. Jacqueline Coleman, Rocky Adkins and I headed out for a three-day, 13-stop bus tour across Kentucky to kick off the general election and meet Kentuckians in their hometowns – from Paducah to Prestonsburg to Newport!
The energy on the road was incredible. Thousands of Kentuckians turned out with their friends, kids and neighbors because we know that with four more years we can continue to make progress for our Commonwealth. I want to share a few of my favorite photos from each stop.
Day One:
We rallied with hundreds of supporters at the Freight House in Paducah, toured the new Pratt Paper mill in Henderson, were blown away by an excited crowd in Owensboro, met with UAW workers at Metalsa – a growing business in Elizabethtown that has been manufacturing truck frames for Ford for the past two decades – and finished the day in Bowling Green at an event that the local paper said “gave new meaning to standing room only.”
Day Two:
Despite the rain, hundreds and hundreds of Kentuckians came out to see us as we made stops in Lexington, Morehead, Ashland, Pikeville, and Prestonsburg to celebrate the progress we’ve made in the last three and a half years, and to hear our plans for reelection! We even had high school students on their way to prom, and a bride stopped by on her wedding day.
Day Three:
The last day of the tour kicked off in Louisville where we opened our first campaign field office of the cycle on Baxter Avenue – with over 200 volunteer signups – and then rallied with supporters at The Palm Room! We ended the tour in Northern Kentucky, with a line of Kentuckians that wrapped around the block to get into the New Riff Distillery for our final stop.
One of my favorite parts of my job as governor is being able to connect with Kentuckians from all over our Commonwealth. This bus tour made it clear that we have started this race with momentum, energy, and excitement. But to keep this up, we have to work every single day between now and November to ensure a win on Election Day.
John, you are a critical part of this campaign, and I'm grateful for any support you're willing to give. If you're able to, will you chip in to my re-election campaign now to help us keep up our momentum? Your support will help us win this tough race in November so we can keep moving Kentucky forward.
Hope to see you out on the road soon!
Andy
