Democrats are defending almost twice as many seats as Republicans, including open seats we know Republicans would love to flip. Angela has devoted her career to serving Marylanders -- and making history while doing it. As the first woman elected to be Prince George's County state's attorney and the first woman and the first Black woman elected to the office of county executive in Maryland history, Angela is the quintessential EMILYs List candidate -- she's a groundbreaker AND a change maker.

While serving in these roles, Angela has been both an advocate and activist for accessible education and health care, support for survivors of domestic violence, and justice reform. And as a lifelong Marylander, she's used her office to fight for her community and amplify their voices every step of the way.

Next November, Marylanders will be electing a new senator to an open seat -- and this is a critical blue hold if we want to hang on to the Senate majority. Angela faces a tough primary against a well-known opponent, and we're proud to give her our full support.
