Just days ago, Kevin McCarthy’s ally, Rep. Anna Paulina Luna of Florida, filed a motion to expel me from Congress. For investigating and impeaching Trump. And for holding him accountable during my service on the January 6th Committee.

She’s just changed her tactic, and now, she wants to censure and fine me $16 million dollars. And it could come up for a vote as soon as tomorrow or Thursday.

I need you to stand with me, because I won’t back down from these baseless attacks. But I need your help to fight back – please rush $10 to our campaign right now.

This is a new low, even for these MAGA extremists. And if it seems crazy, it is — the lunatics have definitely taken over the asylum. But sadly, we need to take it seriously.

And it’s just the latest move to try to exact political payback against me for holding Trump accountable.

First, Kevin McCarthy removed me from the House Intelligence Committee. Then, he told a crowd of his supporters that I must “never” be a U.S. Senator. And now, one of his allies is trying to expel me from Congress entirely, or fine me millions.

All because I had the audacity to stand up to Trump when they lacked the courage.

But if they think this will get me to back down, John, they’re sorely mistaken.

I’m not going to back down when it comes to protecting the rule of law.

I’m not going to back down on defending our democracy.

I’m not going to back down on holding Donald Trump and his MAGA enablers accountable.

Not now. Not ever.
