John, it would appear that the world’s richest man wants exclusive access to a hopeful GOP White House. Ron DeSantis is scheduled to announce his bid for the Presidency tomorrow night on Twitter with an exclusive interview with Elon Musk.
The owner of Twitter, who originally stated that the platform would be politically neutral, is now hosting a slew of fringe rightwing accounts and promoting Ron DeSantis.

Whoever runs up against Trump will be fighting for their share of the MAGA base. By serving as Trump-proxies, we could see that our worst fears are realized and that those fighting for the GOP nomination will do whatever it takes to paint themselves as the next version of Trump.
If DeSantis is the nominee, does that mean that his policy positions like banning books and Black history will be national policy? Will that mean that Elon Musk elevates these ideas as
acceptable or the preferred direction of the country? DeSantis has taken Florida from a tourist hotspot to a spiraling fascist nightmare. And Musk is getting cozy with him...why? Does he expect favorable legislation to come out of a DeSantis administration that benefits him?
These are the questions we should be asking ourselves and the positions we have to push back against. Campaign season for 2024 is well underway and we have to defend Democratic policies and our rights before it is too late.
