PRIMER: Enhancing Rural Broadband
The Governor’s Executive Budget Proposal includes $10 million to more than triple the Arizona Rural Broadband Development Grant. The budget also includes $50 million to install broadband conduit and fiber along 514 miles of rural interstate highway as well as an additional $9 million for highway safety technology that utilizes the new fiber.

Governor Ducey’s Executive Budget invests in Arizona’s public universities to help more students graduate with the skills and education needed to compete in the New Economy. With the budget's $35 million investment, the New Economy Initiative will increase the number of graduates in critical high-demand industries such as engineering and healthcare.
