Support creating wildlife crossings in Nevada!
Hello Friend,
The Nevada Senate Finance Committee will be hearing [ [link removed] ]AB112 tomorrow!
[ [link removed] ]The Wildlife Crossings bill is coming up at 8:00 am.

AB112 is a bill that creates a Wildlife Crossing Fund, to be managed by
the Department of Transportation. In order to thrive, our desert wildlife
needs intact habitats and migration routes that allow them to move safely
between seasonal habitats. However, these areas are increasingly
threatened by factors including roads, oil, gas, and other mineral
exploration and development, poorly planned suburban growth, and climate
change.

This bill can help by setting aside funds that the Nevada Departments of
Wildlife and Transportation can use for projects around Nevada highways
that will create safe crossing infrastructure for wildlife in our state!

(the legislative website) and scrolling down to the [ [link removed] ]‘Submit Opinion’
button on the bill’s page!

Migrating wildlife is highly valued for its aesthetic and recreational
opportunities and contributes significantly to the economy in Nevada.
Wildlife-related activities drive economic activity in both rural and
urban communities across Nevada and activities such as hunting, fishing,
and wildlife photography are not possible without thriving wildlife
populations.

Please join us in supporting this critical bill to sustain our environment
and our outdoor recreation economy!

Thank you,
