Agencies reach agreement over Jackson Lake Dam
Jackson Lake BOR
The Bureau of Reclamation (BOR) Upper Snake Field Office informed the State of Wyoming that a reduction of water flow from Jackson Lake Dam will occur for six to eight weeks, which began May 10. According to the BOR, flow reductions from the dam are necessary to prevent water from leaving the system and spilling over Milner Dam downstream in Idaho due to the above-average snowpack.
*The State of Wyoming and the Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) have reached an agreement on water management operations for the Upper Snake River Basin that will avoid impacts to fisheries below Jackson Lake Dam. [ [link removed] ]*

Fish return to Saratoga Lake
Fish return to Saratoga Lake
To close out a challenging period of work at Saratoga Lake, fisheries biologists with the Wyoming Game and Fish Department have started rebuilding the lake?s fishery. The lake had to be eradicated of all fish last year to remove illegally introduced yellow perch. On Wednesday, trout were stocked back into the lake for the first time. *The lake was stocked with tiger and rainbow trout that came from the Game and Fish Wigwam Rearing Station in Ten Sleep. Wyoming fishing challenges
Wyoming has some pretty sweet spots to go fishing, and some pretty nice fish to catch in those spots, so it?s no surprise that anglers new and old are casting their lines at some of the Wyoming Game and Fish Department?s fishing challenges. One of the longer running challenges is the cuttslam, which ended its 26th year with another 123 anglers catching the required four native subspecies of cutthroat trout: Bonneville, Colorado, Snake River and Yellowstone. Over 2200 anglers have received this certificate since the challenge began in 1996.
