Hi there. I wanted to make sure you saw my note from earlier today. Trump is planning a visit to Colorado this month and we need to be ready to fight back.

If you can, would you consider adding a donation to my campaign for U.S. Senate? Anything you can give will make a real difference in helping us prepare for the incoming attacks:

Hello --

About a minute from now, I'm going to ask you to add a contribution to our grassroots campaign for Senate as part of an emergency fundraising drive we're organizing this week. Let me explain why this is so important:

Donald Trump announced last night that he's coming to Colorado to campaign for our opponent Cory Gardner, just days after Gardner stood with Senate Republicans to block firsthand witness testimony and cover-up for the president's abuses of power.

This is the beginning of a new effort to tear down our campaign, and we're expecting Trump to attack me personally and for those attacks to be amplified by Mitch McConnell's dark money donor network.

We have to fight back today. Trump and McConnell's attack machine is breaking fundraising records left and right, and the only way we can counter them is by collecting as many grassroots donations as possible. So, we've set an ambitious goal of raising $250,000 by tomorrow night, and we need you to make a contribution of any amount to help us get there:

Can I count on you to make an urgent donation of $10 or more to my campaign right now? I need your support to fight back against whatever Trump and McConnell have planned for our campaign in the coming weeks and months. Thanks in advance:

If we stick together and keep running to give Colorado's priorities and values a voice in Washington, then I know we can win this thing.

Thanks again for standing with me.
