I’m proud to have led a historic resolution affirming the ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment and, in partnership with my sister-in-service Cori Bush, to have launched the first-ever Equal Rights Amendment Caucus in Congress.
For far too long, women and LGBTQIA+ folks have been relegated to second-class legal status in America — our contributions ignored, erased, or rendered a footnote in history — and it’s high time we change that.

The Equal Rights Amendment will help combat generations of gender-based disparities and ensure that the humanity and dignity of all people is enshrined in the Constitution.
38 states have ratified the Equal Rights Amendment, but because of an arbitrary deadline established in the 1970s, it hasn’t been added to the Constitution.
There’s no time limit on equality. That’s why I introduced a resolution that would remove the deadline for ratification and it’s why Cori and I started a caucus committed to realizing the promise of the Equal Rights Amendment.
We need the ERA now. If you agree, join our broad coalition of folks across the country fighting for gender equality by signing your name now.
In solidarity,
