John,
Whenever you hear politicians talking about "block grants", be careful. Block grants allow for public safety net program funds to be converted -- it's a tried-and-true GOP strategy to allow deep funding cuts to programs like Medicaid.
The current administration recently announced a sweeping series of Medicaid block grants for states. Almost 1.7 million Arizonans rely on Medicaid. This policy change could leave thousands of our most vulnerable -- working families, children, and seniors -- without medical care
Yesterday, David Schweikert voted to support the new Medicaid block grant plan, and sided firmly against his constituents. If you're tired of Schweikert's extreme anti-healthcare record, please donate now to help Hiral defeat him.

As a former emergency room physician, Hiral's seen firsthand what happens when people don't have access to healthcare: parents afraid to bring their child in because they can't afford the bill, patients put off getting the care they need, and the terrible consequences that come from waiting too long.
It is unconscionable that Schweikert would vote to support a plan that puts benefits for the almost 1.7 million Arizonans who rely on Medicaid at risk, potentially leaving them without affordable access to the lifesaving care they need.
We've had enough, and we're going to make sure Arizonans know the full extent of Scheikert's failed record.

Thanks!
