Dear John,

As you may have already heard, last week, a known white nationalist organization sent unsolicited mailings to at least two Maine Democratic county committee volunteer groups. Similar mailings were sent to at least eight Democratic lawmakers last month. As Senate President Troy Jackson and Speaker Rachel Talbot Ross said at the time, “ We have zero tolerance for white nationalist groups’ behavior or intimidation.”

At the Maine Democratic Party, we believe no Mainer should be targeted for the color of their skin, their gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, or any other inherent characteristic that makes them who they are.

Will you join us in taking a stand against hatred in all forms? It starts with you. Help us send a message to all Mainers and let them know: you are welcome here.
