Hello friend,

ICYMI, EPA just proposed the rules we've been waiting for: Carbon pollution standards for power plants.

During our recent virtual discussion on the rules, Evergreen Executive Director Lena Moffitt pointed out that there are currently no federal limits on how much carbon pollution power plants can spew into our atmosphere and into our communities—and that's just one reason these rules are President Biden’s most effective tool to take on climate change.

Learn about the rules and what we're calling for in the recap.

On the call, Washington Governor Jay Inslee pointed out that the proposed rules are "a first draft of a strong provision." He went on to say, "I think it's up to us to nudge and encourage even stronger rules at a more rapid pace," and we couldn't agree more.

To hear more from Gov. Inslee, Dr. Leah Stokes, and others, check out the recap.
