FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

*Notice of Water Dye Test Upstream of Little Indian Slough*

Skagit County Public Works will be conducting a dye test within the waterway upstream of Little Indian Slough on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, beginning at approximately 10:30 a.m. Non-toxic dye will enter the waterway along Ball Road, east of Farm to Market Road and the Skagit County Transfer Station.

The dye is harmless to people, fish, and wildlife, and will give off a bright green color. As the dye travels downstream, it will likely be visible in Little Indian Slough. The dye works as a tracing method to help Public Works determine direction of flow in storm drains, ditches, and streams.
