Friend --

The 2020 Presidential hopefuls are preparing to take the stage in New Hampshire tonight—will you be watching?

We like to keep it honest at Higher Heights and let’s be real, it’s a Friday night! As critical as it is to stay informed in the Democratic process we know that sometimes you just need to relax and ease into the weekend. If it’s not on your list for tonight, skip to below where we invite you to join the candidates on your own terms!

For those of you that wouldn’t miss it for all the Netflix in the world—here are a few things to keep in mind as you’re assessing who should represent you as the Democratic nominee:

- Do they answer questions directly, or evade them?
- Do they give specifics about their stands on the issues, or speak in generalities?
- Have they addressed concerns of Black women directly?
- Do they support their positions and arguments with facts and figures?
- Do they talk about their own policies and positions, or mostly attack their opponents?
- Are their proposals realistic? Can they actually carry out promises they are making?
- Do they show how their backgrounds and experience qualify them to hold the office?
- Are their answers consistent with their previous positions? If not, do they explain why?

As you know, we rolled out The Road to 2020: ‘Where They Stand <[link removed]>’ <[link removed]>, our presidential engagement program and the next phase is introducing our members to each candidate via intimate webinars over the next few months.

Has your membership expired? Still need to activate your membership? Join Higher Heights today in order to unlock exclusive benefits including this special invite-only access to our upcoming presidential candidate webinars!

The debate stage creates a good forum for candidates to spar for our votes but our webinars will create the space to hear how their platforms will affect Black women specifically.

The road to 2020 is powered by Black women and we’ll continue to be your source every step of the way.

Onward,

Glynda
