Dear fellow Brooklynites,
Primary Day is only a few weeks away, and we need your help to get the word out for a BYD-endorsed candidate facing a competitive race.

Join BYD and our friends the Bay Ridge Democrats at Seth Low Park Playground on Wednesday, May 24th as we hit the streets for Wai Yee Chan in City Council District 43!
This new district was specifically created to give AAPI communities in Southern Brooklyn a stronger voice. Wai Yee has served these communities for years as executive director of Homecrest Community Services, but she faces a primary challenge from opponents who won't even commit to supporting Democrats over Republicans in the general election.
To ensure Southern Brooklyn is represented by proud Democrats and experienced public servants like Wai Yee, we need to get to work!

BYD is Officially Re-Chartered!
|
|
Brooklyn Young Democrats were officially re-chartered and honored with a "Chapter of the Year" award by the New York State Young Democrats this weekend. We had a blast celebrating with young Dems from across the state at the NYSYD gala!

You can watch our full acceptance speech here.
The work is just getting started, and we couldn’t be more honored to fight for Democrats with all of you. If you're not already a dues-paying member of BYD and want to be part of this fight, we invite you to join us!

BYD knows it's possible to beat back Republican gains in Brooklyn and build a thriving Democratic future. But to do it, we need the Brooklyn Democratic Party to invest in young voters and organizers, not tear us down.
Check out our recent op-ed in Gotham Gazette to read more about how the county party can support young people, and what we can learn from our peers in the Midwest!
