As you may know, property taxes are set to skyrocket dramatically… and you can thank the Democrats for it.
Historically, the Gallagher Amendment would have protected homeowners like you, but since Polis and the Democrats repealed this in 2020, the consequences have begun to hit the pockets of hardworking taxpayers.
Gallagher was intended to limit property taxes that could be levied on homeowners but was sacrificed by Democrats so they could continue to take more of your money for their big-government schemes that enrich their special interest buddies.
As we open our eyes to this radical nonsense being pushed onto the taxpayers of Colorado, it is important for you to know how to fight back against this and save your hard-earned money from greedy Democrats.
First, and most importantly, please be sure to challenge your property tax assessment with your local county assessor’s office. A simple internet search of who your assessor is should get you to your specific assessor’s website to appeal their initial assessment decision on your home.
Click the news link below for an example of how to start the appeal process.
NEWS STORY ON APPEAL PROCESS ([link removed])
If your initial appeal falls short, you can appeal to the County Board of Equalization and then the State Board of Assessment Appeals.
If you ultimately wish to take the matter to district court, then follow this court link below for instructions.
APPEAL IN COURT ([link removed])
Again, if you want to reduce your property taxes and keep your money out of the hands of Polis’ liberal government, it is your right as a citizen to appeal your property tax assessment!
No guarantees... but many of those who appeal find success in lowering their property taxes.
With that said, the Democrats are still trying to pull a fast one on you if it wasn't already bad enough.
This past session, radical Democrats passed an outrageous ballot proposition that they want you to believe would lower property taxes but instead rob you of your Taxpayer Bill of Rights Refund.
These crooks want to take the money you are owed and put it toward the tax increases they created so they can trick you into thinking they did you a favor.
We can't let them get away with it. We need to work together to defeat their dishonest ballot measure and ultimately kick them out of office.
We need your help now. Will you chip in 100 bucks to help us throw corrupt Democrats out of office and elect fiscally responsible Republicans instead?
Even if everyone who read this message would chip in 25 bucks today for every month, then we would have enough money to adequately fund competitive challenges to vulnerable Democrats and flip several seats in 2024.
Please click the donate button now and help us kick these greedy leftists out of office.
