Friend,
Earlier this week, we heard the president present a vision of the nation that simply didn’t line up with reality. It was painful to hear the person who is supposed to be a leader for our nation spout off lie after lie, but what's worse is realizing that we've lost four years worth of progress erasing inequality.
Six years ago, Barack Obama used the State of the Union address to point out that, while the rich are getting richer, too many in our nation are “working more than ever just to get ahead.” That hasn’t changed. We’re still fighting the same fight -- except now the man in the White House is making things worse instead of better.
If you're ready for leaders who will work to end inequality, will you chip in $20.20 today?
The fact is, too many of our leaders have been bought by large corporations who want the system to keep working for them even if it means screwing over everyone else. We need to change that.
I’ve promised not to take a dime of corporate PAC money, because I know where my priorities lie. Can I count on you to make sure that I have what it takes to stand up to the corporations profiting off inequality?
Best,
