After the 2020 election, Donald Trump’s Big Lie motivated Republican lawmakers in nearly half of all states to pass new restrictive election laws. You may remember public outrage sparked by some of the most extreme bills – like the Georgia law that included a ban on passing out water to people waiting in line to vote.

But now, Republicans are taking a new approach:
