Thursday: New 2020 Census Data to be Released
This Thursday, May 25, the Census Bureau will release the 2020 Census Demographic Profile and Demographic and Housing Characteristics File (DHC).Ā These 2020 Census data products provide demographic and housing characteristics of local communities, including population data on age, sex, race, Hispanic origin, families and households, and data on homeownership and vacant and occupied housing.

Director's Blog: Valuable New Datasets on Race and Ethnicity From the U.S. Census Bureau [ [link removed] ]
In his latest blog, Director Santos discusses upcoming data releases that will provide important data that better reflect our nationās demographic characteristics.
Upcoming releases include counts from the 2020 Census, estimates of population totals between decades, and data from the American Community Survey. All include important data on race and ethnicity in the United States.

Coming Soon: 2021 E-Stats Visualization
On Thursday, May 25, the Census Bureau will release a data visualization that summarizes 2021 e-commerce statistics on shipments, sales and revenues from key sectors of the economy: manufacturing, wholesale, services and retail.Ā Prior releases of e-commerceĀ statistics are available for the nation dating back toĀ 1998.Ā
The estimates in this data visualization are based on data collected from separate surveys:Ā the 2021Ā Annual Survey of Manufactures,Ā the 2021Ā Annual Wholesale Trade Survey,Ā the 2021Ā Service Annual Survey, and theĀ 2021Ā Annual Retail Trade Survey.Ā Measures of total economic activity and e-commerce are presented in this data visualization to provide a broad perspective of e-commerce activity across several sectors.
