John,

At the end of our last Say Something Week – after a week full of decorating campus, creating bulletin boards with warning signs, and producing and watching videos about how and when to Say Something – a high school student in Illinois found herself confronted with the very situation she had spent all week learning about: She opened her phone and saw a former classmate holding a gun in a Snapchat photo. Because of our trainings, she felt empowered to Say Something to a trusted adult, and a potential tragedy was averted.

One of the most inspiring parts of each Say Something Week is hearing how it's made such a huge impact in schools across the country. The resources and activities are not only encouraging students to speak up – they're helping save lives.

During the week of March 2-6, this program will teach thousands more middle and high school kids that they have the power to prevent tragedies and save lives by learning the warning signs of gun violence and self-harm and by saying something to a trusted adult.

John, if you're involved with a school or youth organization, I hope you'll click below to sign up today for our no-cost Say Something Week:

We already know that in four out of five school shootings, attackers tell someone else about their plans beforehand. And seven out of 10 people who die by suicide tell someone of their plans or give some type of warning or indication.

That's why Say Something Week is so critical to keeping our kids safe. Thank you for helping build a safer world for children through this lifesaving program.
