Last month, Lizzie asked you about the issues that matter most to you and your hopes for the future. I want to check back in and share some of the responses we’ve heard so far.
Gun violence, reproductive freedom, and voting rights were the issues people brought up most often as issues that concern them. When sharing their hopes for the future, people said they want our communities safe from gun violence and want to live in a country where women have the freedom to make their own decisions about what’s best for their health, bodies, and futures.
Many people also said they want to see us move beyond political divisions and work collaboratively to find common ground and solve big problems.
Who we elect determines how we address those issues—or whether we address them at all. Lizzie’s fighting for smart, thoughtful solutions: She has led on efforts to protect access to abortion care, and consistently voted to protect our right to vote, to protect our communities from gun violence, including the first federal gun-safety legislation signed into law in nearly 30 years. She has also worked collaboratively where she can, and delivered bipartisan solutions to her district and our country.
