Fonk Road Closed for Repairs May 24 & 25

Fonk Road, south of Beaver Lake in Mount Vernon, will be closed for repair on Wednesday, May 24 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Thursday, May 25 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Skagit County Public Works will be dredging an existing culvert pipe that runs below the roadway, thus necessitating the temporary closure.

Road closure times should not impact bussing schedules for area school children and their families.

Public Works will be on site on Monday, May 22 and Tuesday, May 23 for preparatory work. The roadway will not be closed to through traffic on these dates.
