Meet Mr. Lewis. He got his ID in Orlando, Florida today. He hasn't had an ID since 1979. That's 41 years. 41 years is a long time to go without an ID, a long time to live a life without a legal identity. Today our incredible field staffer, Chris Brown, helped Mr. Lewis change his life and it was such a perfect way to end a long week, I just had to share.
This is just one of the over 80 lives we helped change this week, and one of hundreds we've already helped get IDs and register to vote this year. I hope that good news makes you feel a little more hopeful this week. I know it helps me.
