Hey folks — It’s Lexie, Tammy’s Finance Director.

Every morning, our finance team meets for about 15 minutes to check in on the status toward our goals and talk through our priorities for the week. And sometimes, we close the meeting with a fun “question of the day” — today, we debated hot or iced coffee ☕

These meetings are typically my favorite part of the day. I love getting to share good news with the team about how supporters like you are helping us hit our fundraising targets and powering our work to reelect Tammy next November.

But unfortunately, I had some not-so-great news to share this morning. We’re tracking pretty far behind on our target this month… With just over a week left before our end-of-month deadline, we’re only 40% of the way to our online donation goal.

Now, I'll be honest, coming up short on a fundraising goal now and then isn’t the end of the world — but it does have very real consequences for our campaign. Every dollar we raise helps us fund our digital ads, print campaign materials, and hire more staff so we can get Tammy’s message out to voters in every stitch of the state. And when we’re coming up short, it’s my job to start making cuts.

But I’m taking a risk this month. I told our team that we’re going to hold off on lowering our goals or making budget cuts just yet because I know we’ve got a really strong group of supporters behind us, and with your help, I truly believe that we can get back on track.

So team, will you chip in $5, $10, or anything you can to help us close the gap in our fundraising this month? I’d really appreciate it.
