There’s no way around it -- this has been a trying week for our democracy. But I wanted to send you a quick message at this pivotal moment to let you know something important:
I will never stop fighting to hold President Trump accountable for his reckless actions.
I will keep working to secure our elections from foreign meddling. I will keep fighting this Administration’s attacks on the Affordable Care Act, Medicare, and Social Security. And I will continue to fight back to reverse the President’s inhumane, anti-immigrant policies.
Whenever this President puts our values, our democracy, or our national security at risk, I’ll be there to fight back. But I need the support of this grassroots team to help me keep up the fight.
John, I am fighting every day to hold President Trump accountable, but the best thing we can do to fight back is to reclaim the White House and the Senate in 2020.
There is so much on the line this November. We have the opportunity to not only defeat President Trump, but to take back the Senate from Mitch McConnell. And when we control the Senate again, we can finally begin to undo the damage the Republicans have caused in this country and focus on progressing our bold Democratic agenda for America’s families.
