John,
It’s been 10 days since I announced that I
would be running in the Portage-Lisgar by-election and make history by
becoming the first ever elected PPC MP.
The campaign
has been off to a great start!
I’ve been very well
received here. I’ve been staying in Winkler and making stops all over
the riding.
We’ve had a great reception at the doors,
our volunteer army is growing, we’ve had favourable coverage from the
local and even the national media, and we’re just getting started!
But we can’t get overconfident.
This is still
a David vs. Goliath battle.
This riding has
historically been a CPC stronghold. They are well organized. And they
know once I get into Parliament that their days are numbered.
They know once I get in, the floodgates will open and
the next general election will be a Purple Wave.
And
we have a real shot at winning here.
In the last
election the PPC candidate for this riding, Solomon Weibe, received
22% of the vote. It was our best result across the entire
country.
And since it’s a by-election, the spending
limits are much lower. This means the fake Conservative party can’t
outspend us 20 to 1 like they do during a general election.
We
might be able to level the financial playing field in this election.
But, John, I need your help to do it.
We can spend a
maximum of roughly $465,000 on this election campaign. That includes
what my campaign can spend, as well as what the Party can spend on the
four by-elections that are being held at the same time.
Since my announcement, the support from across the country has
been unbelievable.
In the last 10 days, we’ve raised
more than $100,000 to support my campaign!
Do you
think we can raise another $365,000 before Monday, June 19th—election
day—to ensure we can spend the maximum on this campaign?
With the financial playing field levelled, it will be
purely a battle of ideas, and everyone knows we have the stronger
platform.
Chip in $36 today to help us do whatever it
takes to elect the first ever PPC MP!
Thank
you,
-Max
