🛑 Stop Cop City Organizing 🛑

This Wednesday May 24th, Atlanta City Council's Finance/Executive Committee will vote on whether to move forward $31 million in public funding for Cop City construction. Join Atlanta DSA and allied organizations for a press conference at 11am on the steps of City Hall as we urge City Council to Vote NO on Cop City!

If the proposal moves forward, it is likely to come to a full City Council vote on Monday June 5th. Sign up here to get involved with DSA's work to oppose Cop City over the coming weeks, as part of a broader coalition campaign called the "People's Campaign to Stop Cop City."

📋 Stop Cop City Canvassing 📋

Join Atlanta DSA as we campaign to pressure the City of Atlanta to vote NO on Cop City and invest the $31 million in community not cops! We're reaching out to Atlanta residents who live near the proposed Cop City construction site in order to discuss how they feel about the project, and to inform them about the upcoming City Council vote planned for June 5th.

We're meeting up in the park behind Frederick Wilson Benteen Elementary School. Wear a mask and bring a friend. Make sure to download the free MiniVAN canvassing app ahead of time (App Store / Google Play). No experience needed. This event will happen rain or shine, so please bring an umbrella and raincoat in case of rain.

Labor Survey promo image

At the 2022 Atlanta DSA Chapter Convention, members decided to prioritize our Chapter's labor work. We are building the labor movement by showing up for workers on the picket line, building relationships with rank-and-file union members, and helping our own members organize their workplaces.

But to do this, we need your help! Fill out our 2023 Labor Survey to tell us about yourself, your workplace, and the ways you'd like to help get involved in our work.

💸 Donate to the GoFundMe for fired Amazon workers 💸

Image of people protesting

Amazon workers in Atlanta, GA decided to exert their right to organize for better wages and working conditions. However, instead of listening to their concerns, the company responded with many forms of retaliation - including firing two workers.

As we continue the fight against Amazon's retaliatory practices, we are reaching out to you to ask for help in financially supporting a few of the fired ATL6 workers during this tough time.
