Webinar: De-escalation Training. May 23, 2023, 2:00 PM ET
De-escalation in a setting where there is an interpersonal crisis is a very difficult skill set and starts with the worker calming themselves and maintaining their composure as they move toward the situation. Join us for a webinar featuring Father Ragan Schriver, special assistant to the president for strategic integration at CCUSA, that will offer evidence-based practices on responding to mental health distress and crisis.
At the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Acknowledge one's own conflict management style,
- Recognize the stages of escalation and common triggers of agitation and aggression,
- Intervene with escalating clients using verbal de-escalation techniques.
This webinar offers 1.0 Continuing Education Credits. In order to earn the CEC, participants will need to participate in the session in its entirety and complete the evaluation/post-test questions. Register in advance for this webinar.
