John, I have fought tirelessly for Mississippi throughout my life — taking on tough battles to make things better for hardworking folks.

This is personal to me. I know exactly what struggling Mississippians are going through because I have lived that life.

You see, life wasn’t very easy growing up the way we did. Our house had missing and rotten floorboards where you could see straight down to the dirt, and we lived with the constant worry that our power or water would get cut off, which they did many, many times.

I've been there, and I am not the least bit ashamed of the abject poverty that I grew up in. It's made me who I am.

But corrupt politicians like Tate Reeves couldn't care less about families like ours. They're clueless about our lives and keep selling us out to the highest bidder, time and time again.

I'm sick and tired of that nonsense. Our state, and the good, hardworking people who call it home, deserve so much better.
