Mississippi Congressman Bennie G. Thompson will be joining us at our Blue Commonwealth Gala as a guest speaker next month! 

A longtime leader in Democratic politics, Congressman Thompson has poured his soul into helping the underserved. From being a founding member of the Mississippi Association of Black Mayors to being named Chairman of the Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol by Nancy Pelosi, his work has covered a lot of ground. Congressman Thompson also received the Chairman’s Award during the 2023 NAACP Image Award, honoring his advocacy for civil rights.
