Rally and Lobby Day! NY Climate Action’s Not Complete Without NY HEAT Tuesday, May 23rd, 12:00pm-3:30pm
RSVP (a bus from Manhattan to Albany and carpool options are available on the form) | Invite your friends on Facebook  Join Renewable Heat Now and allies for a rally and press conference at 12:30pm on the Million Dollar Staircase in the NYS Capitol building in Albany! We have less than a month to go in the legislative session, which means we've got to TURN UP THE HEAT to PASS the NY HEAT Act!  Albany lawmakers think they have "done enough" on climate and energy this year, but it’s up to us to let them know they have not! They must also protect New Yorkers from rising energy costs and create a real plan to replace the gas system with cheaper, cleaner heating and cooling by passing the NY HEAT Act. We’ll also try to set up some lobby visits with key legislators, but no lobbying or policy experience is needed to attend!  And that's not all... |

Buffalo for Climate, Jobs, and Justice Wednesday, May 24th, 1:30 PM Â Join the NY Renews coalition and local member organizations, including PUSH Buffalo, Open Buffalo, Clean Air Coalition, and others to speak out against a proposed long-term gas transition plan National Fuel has submitted to the Public Service Commission as the company seeks to comply with the state Climate Law passed in 2019, as well as a misinformation campaign National Fuel continues to run to undermine implementation of the law. Â Speakers will call on state legislators to act now to pass key climate justice legislation that will ensure the Climate Law is implemented affordably and equitably. |
