John, I’m disgusted.
Last week, the NC GOP supermajority shamefully overrode Gov. Cooper’s veto on the 12-week abortion ban. This heinous bill was designed to gut access to abortion care and strip individuals of their right to choose. Gov. Cooper’s veto was a lifeline – and the GOP supermajority yanked it away.
John, this is a direct attack on our community, on our families, and on our freedom to choose. And it’s only possible because a traitorous “Democrat” switched her party affiliation to join the GOP’s dangerous agenda.
Tuesday night was another reminder that we can’t trust so-called allies disguised as Democrats. Not only did this “Democrat” betray her party, she betrayed her constituents – the very people who elected her.
That’s why it’s crucial we support real progressives who we can trust to fight for their communities. And I need your help investing in – and electing – those pro-choice progressives, John.
