| Thank you for reading my newsletter. Here's a summary of last week:
 Message from Congressman Scott Fitzgerald
Good morning! Let me update you on a few of the most important happenings from last week.

Last week, we celebrated National Police Week. On the floor, House Republicans passed legislation to protect law enforcement and stand up for our police officers. It was an honor to speak on the floor in support of our law enforcement individuals and memorialize the Wisconsin police officers killed in the line of duty in 2023. Additionally, I'm grateful my bill the NDO Fairness Act was brought to the floor for a vote and passed with unanimous, bipartisan support.

I had a very busy week in the committees on which I serve. Between the Financial Services and Judiciary Committees, I participated in several hearings covering the recent bank failures, financial regulators, housing affordability, and artificial intelligence. Our world is changing quickly and it's a privilege to play a role in this important work.

Off the floor and outside of committee rooms, I had the pleasure of meeting with many folks from Wisconsin visiting and advocating on behalf of a wide variety of issues. I appreciate meeting with those who take the time to stop by while they're in Washington, DC for vacation or for business.

With so much going on in Washington right now, my week was one for the books. It's an honor to bring Wisconsin values to our nation's capital and fight for our way of life. As always, thank you for sending me.

 - Scott

 Key Votes
H.Res. 363 Expressing support for "National Police Week" - YES
H.Con.Res. 40 Condemning efforts to defund the police - YES
H.R. 3091 the Federal Law Enforcement Officer Service Weapon Purchase Act - YES
 H.R. 2494 the POLICE Act - YES

Passage of the NDO Fairness Act
The government's abuse of its authority to access the private data of individuals under investigation is unacceptable. H.R. 3089, the NDO Fairness Act, provides a much-needed check on federal surveillance authority and I'm glad it passed with overwhelming support.
