Last week, Governor Lombardo showed that he is a coward and that his
administration will not address the unfortunate exponential increase in
hate crimes in the Silver State and around our nation. We’re disgusted to
see that as Sheriff and as Governor, Governor Lombardo refused to sign
SB171 into law — [ [link removed] ]but the fight isn’t over yet! 

We need your help URGENTLY to get this common-sense gun violence
prevention legislation over the finish line TODAY!

[ [link removed] ]CALL YOUR SENATOR NOW AND TELL THEM TO OVERTURN GOVERNOR LOMBARDO’S
VETO ON SB171!

This bill would prevent Nevadans convicted of a hate crime from purchasing
a firearm for up to ten years – keeping our LGBTQ+ community, communities
of color, and all of our neighbors safe.

This reconsideration will happen TOMORROW at 11:15 am in the Nevada
Senate.

Now that Governor Lombardo has declined to support this common sense
safety measure, we have an opportunity to [ [link removed] ]encourage our Legislators to
overturn his decision TOMORROW in the Nevada State Senate!
