Team, it’s been less than a week since the GOP pushed through their outrageous restrictive anti-abortion ban, and our opponent Mark Robinson has already said he wants to go EVEN FURTHER — banning all abortion even in cases of rape or incest.
We CANNOT let them win in 2024 because they will ban abortion completely in North Carolina. It’s time for those of us who believe in the fundamental right to make decisions about one’s own body to stand united and stand strong.
Team, I am writing this email to you quickly because this needs your immediate attention:
Every single Republican in the General Assembly voted to strip away women’s reproductive freedom.
They voted to enact their dangerous abortion ban as a way to play to the most extreme members of their base — even though the majority of us believe in the right to reproductive choice.
Republicans want you to believe this outrageous legislation is designed to protect women. It’s not.
It’s designed to control them — and the GOP wants to take it even further.
Team, my extremist opponent has indicated that if he’s elected governor, he’d sign a total abortion ban into law. We cannot give up our fight because we cannot allow that to happen.
Our race is the most critical governor’s election in 2024, period. National Republicans are looking at North Carolina to judge just what they can get away with in terms of a far-right agenda.
When we defeat Mark Robinson, not only will we keep him from banning all abortion care in North Carolina, we’ll show the GOP that their extremism is unacceptable to the American people.
