HOUSING PRICES IN MIAMI MUST GO DOWN!
This week, I introduced a bill to tackle the housing affordability problems that Miamians suffer through every day.
My 'Home Advantage for American Families Act' protects Miami housing markets from excess demand by taxing foreign nationals on real estate purchases. The bill also sets aside millions in tax credits to build low-income housing for Miami residents who are being priced out of our communities.
Know that my friend and colleague Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) are working to always put Miami residents first!

HAPPY NATIONAL POLICE WEEK!
This week was National Police Week, and I wanted to take some time to give my most sincere thanks to all of the men and women in blue who keep Miami safe.
Against all the attacks from those who seek to defund them, slander them, or both, I was proud to vote with my colleagues in favor of giving our police officers and first responders the resources and support they need!

I am pleased to announce that my office is hosting the 2023 Congressional App Challenge.
The Congressional App Challenge is a competition aimed at encouraging middle and high school students to learn how to code by creating their own applications. The Challenge is intended to highlight the value of computer science and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) education.
This competition is open to all students who meet the eligibility requirements, regardless of coding experience. We strongly encourage students of all skill levels to participate, enabling them to learn how to create their own apps.
