Last week I was proud to reintroduce Medicare for All.

I ran on Medicare for All in 2017—a policy choice some advised me not to
take at the time. I was running to flip an Orange County district that had
been held by Republicans for decades, and conventional wisdom said only
“moderates” could win in these purple seats.

But I knew that Medicare for All is the most effective way to provide ALL
Americans quality healthcare. It will improve care, lower costs, and
expand choices. Even though we haven’t passed it into law yet, I’m not
giving up the fight.

I’ve never wavered in my support for Medicare for All (even when I’ve had
tough re-election campaigns!) because it’s time to stand up to Big
Insurance companies and provide care for all Americans.
