On Thursday, Senator Cornyn was proud to receive the endorsement of the Kingwood TEA Party. Below are excerpts from the party’s press release (full write-up here).

 

• Senator John Cornyn has voted with President Trump 95% of the time, fourth best in the Senate.  If you support President Trump, you should be supporting Senator Cornyn.

 

• During the bitter Senate Judiciary Committee hearings for Judge Brett Kavanaugh Senator Cornyn was magnificent, keeping his more moderate Senate colleagues on an even keel and guiding them to the proper vote to put Brett Kavanaugh on the Supreme Court. 

 

• John Cornyn is a powerful force on the Senate Judiciary Committee.  President Trump, the Senate Judiciary Committee and Majority Leader McConnell have remade the federal judiciary in just three years.

 

• [During the Obama administration] Cornyn was a partisan brawler who specialized in blowing up Democrat legislation, said Jim Manley – then a top aide in Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s office.

 

• At this crucial moment in the Trump presidency, mostly out of the public eye, John Cornyn masterfully directed the campaign that led to the Senate passing the essential and historic 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. 

 

• Sen. Cornyn was a key ally of President Trump as he rebuilt the American military.
