I want to give you a quick update on what’s happening in North Carolina, and why this is so important not only for the future of my state -- but for our country.
Earlier this month, our state’s Republicans passed an extreme, dangerous abortion ban that dramatically reduces health care freedoms in our state. I vetoed it -- but then, the Republicans voted to override my veto and enact the radical ban anyway.
Now, they think they’ve won this fight, and they’re banking on all of us throwing up our hands and giving in.
But we’re not giving up. This is another powerful reminder of why we need to elect Democrats at every level of government who will fight to restore fundamental reproductive rights.
That starts at the very top. We cannot allow extremist Republicans to win back the White House. That’s why I’m personally asking: Will you make a $25 donation to President Biden’s reelection campaign?

States like North Carolina are truly purple. It would have only taken one Republican vote to stop this abortion ban in our state, and I won my races for governor during the same years Donald Trump carried the state.
In 2024, I know we can not only reelect Joe and Kamala, but break the Republican supermajorities in our legislature and elect Democrats at every level of government. But the work to accomplish that has to start right now.
