Government pensions involve billions of taxpayer dollars, protect retirement nest eggs for public-sector employees and reflect fiscal stewardship. These are among the reasons why it’s so critical to reform and fix our state pension code.    Only a few years ago our Cook County Pension Fund was on its way to insolvency. 
 
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the vaccines currently available in the United States are more than 90% effective at preventing COVID-19. Getting vaccinated will protect yourself and those around you and will help keep your community healthy.
